When Karla Ebrahimi of Sky of Blue Press + Papery launched LetterBox in fall 2015, she never suspected she wouldn’t sleep for 45 days. But, that’s exactly what happened when Oprah included Karla’s new stationery subscription service smack dab at the center of her “favorite things” coverage in the December edition of O magazine.
Up until this year, Karla curated and assembled her bespoke mailings with about seven stationery and lifestyle items in the theme of each season (you can see my previous LetterBox coverage here, here, here, here, here and here). But with the launch of her new luxury candle line, Karla has switched everything up!
The Spring LetterBox features a limited edition Nourish candle, just waiting to to add sensory depth and delight to every letter writing experience. Set in a matte cream (and reusable) vessel, coconut and soy wax is scented with top essential oil notes of vanilla and orchid and bottom notes of jasmine, sandalwood and amber. Peach Moonstone chips and Rose Petals adorn its smooth surface.
I have literally covered the scented candle market since the last century, and I’m here to tell you they are one of my favorite stationery secret weapons. A wonderful scent wafting in the background as you try to find just the right turn of phrase elevates every last writing experience, as does staring at the flame (which is why a burning candle is also a personal yoga must!).
Inside the Spring LetterBox, you’ll also find five letterpress cards tied together with blue silk ribbon, ideal for the season’s card-sending.
