All Revved for Redback Cards

Typically when I discover a new range, it’s a North American maker who is new on the stationery scene. It’s far rarer to stumble across a fresh foreign range that’s a bit further along but still relatively new to the States.

That’s definitely the case with Redback Cards, hailing from sunny Devon. It is stocked in British shops including John Lewis, Scribbler, Paperchase and Oliver Bonas and has won five Henries — that’s the British equivalent of the Louie Award — but the brand has a lower profile on this side of the pond so far. I think you’ll agree that the artful combination of cheeky copy, bold color and gold foil makes a pretty distinctive splash.

If they look familiar, perhaps you spotted them amongst the Noted@*Noted finalists? They are up for two: Best Use of Profanity (a category that is very near and dear to me as it does require special finesse to my mind) and Funniest Card. Here’s a glimpse at a few more designs.

Redback Cards will be at *Noted later this month, just one of many discoveries awaiting you in the City by the Bay. But there’s plenty to check out in the meantime here!
