<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Every maker has a great backstory, ;but for Lana Effron of <a href="https://lanasshop.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Lana&#8217;s Shop</a>, the juggle is real. For a decade now, this Colorado artist and mom has been creating paintings of &#8220;love and kindness&#8221; for her upscale stationery range. </p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img src="https://thepapernerd.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/packadoo-2-1024x1024.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-10009324"/></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">While capturing the sweeter side of life and the stillness of nature comes organically to her, finding a path to balance raising two very small children and running her home-based business was more involved. For Lana, learning to create in constant chaos, while simultaneously not missing out on the moments that pass all too quickly, has been a matter of establishing a few simple yet peaceful rituals. ;</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Meanwhile, this mamapreneur now has a coveted collab with Anthropologie with her wallpaper and home décor offerings. However, getting to that point required a lot of patience and persistence — about 10 years of it to be exact! </p><div class="inline-post clearfix"><div class="see-also byline">See also</div><div id="block-wrap-57457" class="block-wrap-native block-wrap block-wrap-23 block-css-57457 block-wrap-classic columns__m--1 elements-design-3 block-ani block-skin-0 tipi-box block-wrap-thumbnail ppl-m-1 clearfix" data-id="57457" data-base="0"><div class="tipi-row-inner-style clearfix"><div class="tipi-row-inner-box contents sticky--wrap"><div class="block block-23 clearfix"><article class="tipi-xs-12 clearfix with-fi ani-base tipi-xs-typo split-1 split-design-1 loop-0 preview-thumbnail preview-23 elements-design-3 post-13318 post type-post status-publish format-standard has-post-thumbnail hentry category-off-the-press tag-americasmart-atlanta tag-art-nouveau tag-carson-co tag-design tag-gift-shop-magazine tag-handbags tag-high-design tag-lamps tag-luxury tag-midcentury-modern tag-midmod tag-mitchell-black tag-oliver-gal-artist-co tag-photorealism tag-pillows tag-prints tag-sarah-schwartz tag-silk-scarves tag-stationery-trends tag-the-paper-chronicles tag-wall-art tag-wallpaper" style="--animation-order:0"><div class="preview-mini-wrap clearfix"><div class="mask"><a href="https://thepapernerd.com/atlanta-16-highlights-part-1/" class="mask-img"><img width="100" height="100" src="https://i0.wp.com/thepapernerd.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/oliver.jpg?resize=100%2C100&;ssl=1" class="attachment-thumbnail size-thumbnail wp-post-image" alt="" srcset="https://i0.wp.com/thepapernerd.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/oliver.jpg?resize=150%2C150&;ssl=1 150w, https://i0.wp.com/thepapernerd.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/oliver.jpg?resize=200%2C200&;ssl=1 200w, https://i0.wp.com/thepapernerd.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/oliver.jpg?resize=293%2C293&;ssl=1 293w, https://i0.wp.com/thepapernerd.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/oliver.jpg?resize=75%2C75&;ssl=1 75w, https://i0.wp.com/thepapernerd.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/oliver.jpg?resize=390%2C390&;ssl=1 390w, https://i0.wp.com/thepapernerd.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/oliver.jpg?resize=585%2C585&;ssl=1 585w, https://i0.wp.com/thepapernerd.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/oliver.jpg?resize=24%2C24&;ssl=1 24w, https://i0.wp.com/thepapernerd.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/oliver.jpg?resize=48%2C48&;ssl=1 48w, https://i0.wp.com/thepapernerd.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/oliver.jpg?resize=96%2C96&;ssl=1 96w" sizes="(max-width: 100px) 100vw, 100px" /></a></div><div class="meta"><div class="byline byline-2 byline-cats-design-4"><div class="byline-part cats"><a href="https://thepapernerd.com/category/off-the-press/" style="color:#b79b0d" class="cat">Off The Press</a></div></div><div class="title-wrap"><h3 class="title"><a href="https://thepapernerd.com/atlanta-16-highlights-part-1/">Atlanta &#8217;16 Highlights, Part 1!</a></h3></div><div class="byline byline-3"><span class="byline-part date"><i class="tipi-i-calendar" aria-hidden="true"></i> <time class="entry-date published dateCreated flipboard-date" datetime="2016-01-20T13:56:42+00:00">January 20, 2016</time></span><span class="byline-part likes-count"><a href="#" class="tipi-like-count " data-pid="13318"><span class="likes-heart"><i class="tipi-i-heart-o" aria-hidden="true"></i><i class="tipi-i-heart" aria-hidden="true"></i></span><span class="tipi-value">0</span></a></span></div></div></div></article></div></div></div></div></div></tipimidc>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">For Lana, it was a matter of not taking the temporary rejections personally, and knowing that that one piece that&#8217;s right would come along, eventually. It&#8217;s not too surprising that a maker whose intention is to spread love and kindness, one card at a time, would bring the same wise, gentle mindset to her growing brand. ;</p>
