Living La Vida Planta

In the wake of my walks through the winter markets, I have reached a conclusion: Many of us prefer plants to people. And why not? They literally bring life to any space as they clean the very air we breathe — and we measly humans have the power within us to make them thrive before our eyes. In our age of slow living and mindfulness, stationery and horticulture are more closely aligned than I’d realized, scratching a similar itch in different ways. After all, how better to nurture a relationship down to its very roots than with a carefully worded, completely unexpected card, delivered direct to any doorstep?

One of the first stationery brands to really understand this connection is Paper Anchor. Founded in 2017 by Desiree Perez, this booth at markets looked more like a greenhouse than a stationery hub. Receiving one of these via snail mail is a veritable stationery bouquet.

While Desiree has expanded into several product categories, new to the range are dimensional coasters plated in 18-karat gold. I am showing you the non-sold out one first!

Other categories include elevated keychains, lapel pins, totes, notepads, several types of stickers and art prints. Everything adds a welcome touch of greenery wherever and however it is used or displayed. Just like actual plants, it’s hard to stop at one!

Paper and plant nerds in the wild can start their shop here, or find a nearby store here. Those wanting this fresh range in their own retail space, start here, or just find this Top Shop on Faire.
