<p>I&#8217;ve been hearing retailers grumble about internet shopping, well, since internet shopping came to be. Of course this is with good reason — it&#8217;s taken a huge chunk out of brick-and-mortar sales and completely changed how they do business. But now <a href="http://theboatmangroup.com/" target="_blank">The Boatman Group</a> has created a glorious new website, <a href="http://www.ivyandanchor.com" target="_blank">Ivy + Anchor</a>, that takes an entirely different approach so that everyone — especially independent retailers and local communities — wins.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-11398" src="http://thepaperchronicles.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/IA_StationeryTrends_Aug.jpg" alt="IA_StationeryTrends_Aug" width="800" height="700" />Ivy + Anchor features personalized stationery and gifts from six distinctive brands with over 160 combined years in the marketplace: Boatman Geller, The Chatsworth Collection, Dabney Lee, Prentiss Douthit, Rytex, and Whitney English. From trays to pillows to holiday cards to sticky memo cubes, if you can&#8217;t find something here to suit your taste, it may be time to start questioning that taste!</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-11399" src="http://thepaperchronicles.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/IA_StationeryTrends_Aug2.jpg" alt="IA_StationeryTrends_Aug2" width="800" height="700" /> The website is shopped much like any other, but with one major difference: visitors can <a href="http://www.ivyandanchor.com/sites" target="_blank">find and select their local Ivy + Anchor retailer</a>, and then choose and personalize their selections. The Boatman Group doesn&#8217;t take any full sale — it is split with the retailer. If no retailer is selected, the sale is randomly split with The Boatman Group&#8217;s retailers.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-11401" src="http://thepaperchronicles.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/IA_StationeryTrends_Aug4.jpg" alt="IA_StationeryTrends_Aug4" width="800" height="700" />Once the purchase is completed, a &#8216;Thank You&#8217; page comes up that again shows a list of Ivy + Anchor retailers near the shopper&#8217;s zip code. That customer can then select one of those retailers as their &#8220;preferred store&#8221; and then whenever they return, they will be supporting that local retailer.</p><div class="inline-post clearfix"><div class="see-also byline">See also</div><div id="block-wrap-91080" class="block-wrap-native block-wrap block-wrap-23 block-css-91080 block-wrap-classic columns__m--1 elements-design-3 block-ani block-skin-0 tipi-box block-wrap-thumbnail ppl-m-1 clearfix" data-id="91080" data-base="0"><div class="tipi-row-inner-style clearfix"><div class="tipi-row-inner-box contents sticky--wrap"><div class="block block-23 clearfix"><article class="tipi-xs-12 clearfix with-fi ani-base tipi-xs-typo split-1 split-design-1 loop-0 preview-thumbnail preview-23 elements-design-3 post-10000405 post type-post status-publish format-standard has-post-thumbnail hentry category-off-the-press category-sponsored-post tag-nss2019 tag-ame-courrier tag-design tag-emerging-designers tag-gift-tags tag-greeting-cards tag-hand-painted tag-mabel-nevel tag-megan-heddinger tag-national-stationery-show tag-notebooks tag-photography tag-sarah-schwartz tag-stationery-blog tag-stationery-design tag-stationery-designer tag-tal-shpantzer tag-talfoto tag-thank-you-stationery tag-the-paper-chronicles tag-wilde-house-paper tag-writes-for-women-jotters" style="--animation-order:0"><div class="preview-mini-wrap clearfix"><div class="mask"><a href="https://thepapernerd.com/nss2019-new-years-resolutions/" class="mask-img"><img width="100" height="100" src="https://i0.wp.com/thepapernerd.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/IMG_9876_2-confetti.jpg?resize=100%2C100&;ssl=1" class="attachment-thumbnail size-thumbnail wp-post-image" alt="" srcset="https://i0.wp.com/thepapernerd.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/IMG_9876_2-confetti.jpg?w=800&;ssl=1 800w, https://i0.wp.com/thepapernerd.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/IMG_9876_2-confetti.jpg?resize=150%2C150&;ssl=1 150w, https://i0.wp.com/thepapernerd.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/IMG_9876_2-confetti.jpg?resize=770%2C770&;ssl=1 770w, https://i0.wp.com/thepapernerd.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/IMG_9876_2-confetti.jpg?resize=200%2C200&;ssl=1 200w, https://i0.wp.com/thepapernerd.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/IMG_9876_2-confetti.jpg?resize=350%2C350&;ssl=1 350w, https://i0.wp.com/thepapernerd.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/IMG_9876_2-confetti.jpg?resize=460%2C460&;ssl=1 460w, https://i0.wp.com/thepapernerd.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/IMG_9876_2-confetti.jpg?resize=570%2C570&;ssl=1 570w, https://i0.wp.com/thepapernerd.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/IMG_9876_2-confetti.jpg?resize=24%2C24&;ssl=1 24w, https://i0.wp.com/thepapernerd.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/IMG_9876_2-confetti.jpg?resize=48%2C48&;ssl=1 48w, https://i0.wp.com/thepapernerd.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/IMG_9876_2-confetti.jpg?resize=96%2C96&;ssl=1 96w" sizes="(max-width: 100px) 100vw, 100px" /></a></div><div class="meta"><div class="byline byline-2 byline-cats-design-4"><div class="byline-part cats"><a href="https://thepapernerd.com/category/off-the-press/" style="color:#b79b0d" class="cat">Off The Press</a><a href="https://thepapernerd.com/category/sponsored-post/" style="color:#b79b0d" class="cat">Sponsored</a></div></div><div class="title-wrap"><h3 class="title"><a href="https://thepapernerd.com/nss2019-new-years-resolutions/">#NSS2019 New Year&#8217;s Resolutions!</a></h3></div><div class="byline byline-3"><span class="byline-part date"><i class="tipi-i-calendar" aria-hidden="true"></i> <time class="entry-date published dateCreated flipboard-date" datetime="2018-12-26T15:00:58+00:00">December 26, 2018</time></span><span class="byline-part likes-count"><a href="#" class="tipi-like-count " data-pid="10000405"><span class="likes-heart"><i class="tipi-i-heart-o" aria-hidden="true"></i><i class="tipi-i-heart" aria-hidden="true"></i></span><span class="tipi-value">0</span></a></span></div></div></div></article></div></div></div></div></div></tipimidc>
<p>Pretty cool, eh? I am excited to see new releases from the group — hard to pick just one favorite! — and see more retailers get involved. Speaking of which, if you want to open your own shop (even if you are home based), <a href="http://theboatmangroup.com/become-a-retailer/" target="_blank">this is where you want to go</a>.<br />
