<p>It&#8217;s a little hard to believe that these are only a fraction of what has been hitting my mailbox these past several weeks. The breadth and variety of design styles, the originality and thought that went into these National Stationery Show mailers is rather inspiring — and, just like a great invitation, each gives you a hint of what the show floor holds. I&#8217;ve got so many to share that they make up two posts — which I&#8217;ll be running in alphabetical order.</p>
<p>First up we&#8217;ve got <a href="http://9thletterpress.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">9th Letter Press</a>, where you&#8217;ll find foil on a dark background — a favorite personal trend — paired with the oh-so-current pineapple (a symbol of hospitality) as well as a fanciful liner, a wax seal and a coffee sleeve. Bring it to booth 1754, and you&#8217;ll receive 12 (as opposed to the six being offered) singles with a $150 order. There is even a list of NYC picks featuring my favorite bakery <a href="http://www.magnoliabakery.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">(Magnolia</a>) and used bookstore (<a href="http://www.strandbooks.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Strand</a>).</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4597" src="http://thepaperchronicles.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/IMG_7955.jpg" alt="IMG_7955" width="1200" height="800" /></p>
<p>Next up we&#8217;ve got a letterpressed postcard from <a href="http://www.afavoritedesign.com" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">A. Favorite Design</a> in Booth 1831. I love how the paper even has three holes for a binder!</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4598" src="http://thepaperchronicles.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/afd_NSSpromo.jpg" alt="afd_NSSpromo" width="645" height="576" /></p>
<p>I have a bit of a design crush on Betsywhite Stationery, who was also <a href="http://stationerytrendsmag.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Stationery Trends&#8217;</a> spring cover model. The envelope is replete with bird Forever stamps — you can see it on top of this post — and then inside was a personal note, a thick card with booth info (1964) and a rather lengthy field guide to the line, cleverly maintaining the aviary theme.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4600" src="http://thepaperchronicles.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/Betsywhite_NSS2014_Mailer2.jpg" alt="Betsywhite_NSS2014_Mailer2" width="800" height="523" /> <img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4601" src="http://thepaperchronicles.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/Betsywhite_NSS2014_Mailer3.jpg" alt="Betsywhite_NSS2014_Mailer3" width="800" height="551" /></p>
<p>Cynla&#8217;s kraft mailer held two lovely card samples and a slim green envelope with and an invitation to talk about paper in booth 2154. On back are details of new releases (Cindy has a lot!) and a little note from her. Looking forward to seeing it all!</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4604" src="http://thepaperchronicles.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/CynlaNSSMailerEnvelopes.jpg" alt="CynlaNSSMailerEnvelopes" width="620" height="515" /></p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4603" src="http://thepaperchronicles.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/CynlaNSSMailer2.jpg" alt="CynlaNSSMailer2" width="620" height="533" /></p>
<p>I really enjoyed reviewing the editorial submissions I received from F as in Frank Papergoods Co. for our spring issue, and now I feel even more so with their silhouette of the New York skyline letterpressed in black and gray. I&#8217;m digging the masculine aesthetic! Booth 1450.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4605" src="http://thepaperchronicles.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/FAsInFrankMailer.jpg" alt="FAsInFrankMailer" width="1000" height="720" /></p>
<p><a href="http://shop.fancyseeingyouhere.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Fancy Seeing You Here</a>, booth 2157, has an awesome mailer (and company name)! This one features the invite in a koozie (after the coffee sleeve, I&#8217;m sensing a theme), and the two work together in such a way that the bottle is best tilted. Love it!</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4606" src="http://thepaperchronicles.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/fsyh_mailer_1.jpg" alt="fsyh_mailer_1" width="1200" height="857" /></p>
<p>The mailer from <a href="http://www.fig2design.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Fig. 2 Design Studio</a> came in a wee black envelope, hand-addressed in gold pen and lined with a white liner with a gold foil diagonal stripe. Fabulous! The postcard provides a peek into Claudia&#8217;s new offerings in booth 1937. She is debuting something called the &#8220;Be List Calendar&#8221; — can&#8217;t wait to see!</p><div class="inline-post clearfix"><div class="see-also byline">See also</div><div id="block-wrap-26713" class="block-wrap-native block-wrap block-wrap-23 block-css-26713 block-wrap-classic columns__m--1 elements-design-3 block-ani block-skin-0 tipi-box block-wrap-thumbnail ppl-m-1 clearfix" data-id="26713" data-base="0"><div class="tipi-row-inner-style clearfix"><div class="tipi-row-inner-box contents sticky--wrap"><div class="block block-23 clearfix"><article class="tipi-xs-12 clearfix with-fi ani-base tipi-xs-typo split-1 split-design-1 loop-0 preview-thumbnail preview-23 elements-design-3 post-10001837 post type-post status-publish format-standard has-post-thumbnail hentry category-off-the-press tag-birthday-cards tag-design tag-greeting-cards tag-hand-lettering tag-helen-edna tag-illustration tag-lauren-rolph tag-lettepress tag-sarah-schwartz tag-stationery tag-stationery-blog tag-stationery-design tag-stationery-designer tag-the-paper-chronicles" style="--animation-order:0"><div class="preview-mini-wrap clearfix"><div class="mask"><a href="https://thepapernerd.com/new-letterpress-from-helen-edna/" class="mask-img"><img width="100" height="100" src="https://i0.wp.com/thepapernerd.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/Helen-Edna-Winter-Release-2019.jpg?resize=100%2C100&;ssl=1" class="attachment-thumbnail size-thumbnail wp-post-image" alt="" srcset="https://i0.wp.com/thepapernerd.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/Helen-Edna-Winter-Release-2019.jpg?resize=150%2C150&;ssl=1 150w, https://i0.wp.com/thepapernerd.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/Helen-Edna-Winter-Release-2019.jpg?resize=200%2C200&;ssl=1 200w, https://i0.wp.com/thepapernerd.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/Helen-Edna-Winter-Release-2019.jpg?resize=24%2C24&;ssl=1 24w, https://i0.wp.com/thepapernerd.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/Helen-Edna-Winter-Release-2019.jpg?resize=48%2C48&;ssl=1 48w, https://i0.wp.com/thepapernerd.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/Helen-Edna-Winter-Release-2019.jpg?resize=96%2C96&;ssl=1 96w, https://i0.wp.com/thepapernerd.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/Helen-Edna-Winter-Release-2019.jpg?resize=300%2C300&;ssl=1 300w" sizes="(max-width: 100px) 100vw, 100px" /></a></div><div class="meta"><div class="byline byline-2 byline-cats-design-4"><div class="byline-part cats"><a href="https://thepapernerd.com/category/off-the-press/" style="color:#b79b0d" class="cat">Off The Press</a></div></div><div class="title-wrap"><h3 class="title"><a href="https://thepapernerd.com/new-letterpress-from-helen-edna/">New Letterpress from Helen Edna!</a></h3></div><div class="byline byline-3"><span class="byline-part date"><i class="tipi-i-calendar" aria-hidden="true"></i> <time class="entry-date published dateCreated flipboard-date" datetime="2019-06-25T13:31:04+00:00">June 25, 2019</time></span><span class="byline-part likes-count"><a href="#" class="tipi-like-count " data-pid="10001837"><span class="likes-heart"><i class="tipi-i-heart-o" aria-hidden="true"></i><i class="tipi-i-heart" aria-hidden="true"></i></span><span class="tipi-value">0</span></a></span></div></div></div></article></div></div></div></div></div></tipimidc>

<p>The big box from Golden Fox Goods (Booth 2171) was enormously uplifting to receive and open. They even made a YouTube video.</p>

<p>I love the color palette on the letterpressed mailer from <a href="https://shopshorthand.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Iron Curtain Press</a> (booth 1962). There is such a splendid bite to the logo at the bottom, plus a note from Molly on back and a few dear card samples tucked in a bellyband!</p>

More NSS Mailers! (Part 1 of 2)
