The Austin native and mother of three launched Lively Design studio in early 2016 to expand her aesthetic into textiles, fashion, and home accessories.</p>
<p>“I began Mayfly and Junebug Designs over fifteen years ago, naming it after my first child who was born in May (I was born in June),&#8221; Kelly told me. &#8220;Well, that Mayfly has just graduated from high school and is headed into college, and I’m ready to take on something new! Mayfly and Junebug is classic and timeless and I love creating new children’s designs. But I also love so many different kinds of bright and colorful styles — preppy chic, bohemian, abstract, modern. I felt like, as an artist, I needed to break out of my comfort zone and start designing products that reflect my other design interests, too.”</p>
