What I’m Liking This Week: Egg Press’ Social Preparedness Kits

I am always drawn to sets of product — for that reason I have probably written at least a half-dozen headlines for them during my publishing career. Sets of Sales; Game, Set, Match!; Set the Scene … I could go on and on. In my defense, most were written on deadline.

It’s no surprise, then, that I’m swooning over these new Social Preparedness Kits from one of my all-time favorite letterpress houses, Portland’s own Egg Press.

Inspired by the press’ own passion for letter-writing, and created with a mind toward making old-fashioned correspondence easy and appealing for everyone, this collection takes cards to next level and is completely approachable, attractive and useful. Frankly, if these don’t make you want to pen a quick note, you’re missing out on all the fun.

The Mustard Card Set and Lake Card Set shown here each come with four thanks and four blanks — all letterpressed & the cornerstone of any well-stocked correspondence supply. All are tucked in an American-made fiberglass tray to lend desks instant cultivation and class. $32 each.

Other brilliant Social Preparedness selections ensure that you’ll be ready for any stationery emergency. Choose from canvas pencil and card pouches for writing on the go, tear-away notes to keep track what you’ve sent and who you sent it to, plus undated desk pads that are miniature command centers, keeping track of agendas, birthdays, to-dos, notes — and of course correspondence.
